From Tears to Testimony: What We Learn from Hannah’s Pain

From Tears to Testimony: What We Learn from Hannah’s Pain

Intro:

Sometimes faith and pain exist in the same season.

The story of Hannah in 1 Samuel 1 reminds us that even faithful believers experience seasons of deep sorrow and unanswered prayers.

Hannah’s journey shows us that God sees our pain, hears our prayers, and can turn our tears into testimony.

Scripture
Read 1 Samuel 1:6–8

Reflection
Hannah was loved by her husband yet she carried deep sorrow because she longed for a child.

Year after year she faced disappointment and even ridicule from others.
The Bible tells us that she wept bitterly and lost her appetite.

Many people believe that if they trust God, life should always feel peaceful and easy.
But Hannah’s story reminds us that faith and pain can exist together.

You can love God and still feel broken.
You can worship and still weep.
You can trust God and still wrestle with questions.

Yet God was not ignoring Hannah.
He was working in her story in ways she could not yet see.

What We Can Learn

From Hannah we learn:

• God sees our private pain
• Honest prayer is powerful
• Waiting seasons are not wasted
• God can turn sorrow into testimony

A Question to Reflect On:
What burden or silent prayer have you been carrying that you need to bring honestly before God?

Prayer
Lord, You see what others cannot see.
You know the pain that lives quietly in my heart. Help me trust You in seasons of waiting and uncertainty. Turn my tears into testimony. Amen.

If this devotion encouraged you, share it with someone who may be walking through a season of waiting. More Bible reflections are shared weekly on Glow in Grace.
